When I hear people have Type 2 Diabetes I want to say "go Paleo!" and then they ask me how it helps and I get all excited telling them how your insulin levels are all nice and balanced because it's a sugar-free diet but that's not a good enough answer, I know, because I don't really understand the numbers.
When you have diabetes you need numbers.
So here I found a comparison between the Paleo diet and the Mediterranean diet for Type 2 diabetes. The result? The people eating Paleo saw reversed signs and symptoms of insulin resistant, Type 2 diabetes.
The Mediterranean diet (where you eat grains and dairy) showed little if any improvements, even though this diet is generally recommended by the government.
Here is the scientific info.
I like the easy Paleo stuff.
